Challenge

SundanceTV is a major sponsor of the Sundance Film Festival.  SundanceTV wanted to drive more foot traffic to HQ on Main Street to support its role in the festival and its original programming . SundanceTV asked us to help activate the “The Honorable Woman’ at the Sundance Film Festival (and then again for the US Premiere of “The Honorable Woman.” )

Solution

Using beacon technology,we augmented Foursquare’s geo-lcation technology and FAN network to drive festivalgoers in Salt Lake City and Park City to visit SundanceTV. 

Upon landing, nearly 30,000 festival goers received a welcome message from SundanceTV.  And while walking through town, the received one of 200 pieces of social content on Foursquare based on their location. 

In collaboration with an events agency, we launched the digital layer by creating the Augmented Reality activation for The Honorable Woman. 

Results

We delivered more than 200,000 impressions in 12 days before and during the festival with custom content about things to do in Park City and SundanceTV HQ happenings.  Foot traffic increased 15% when adjusted for festival attendance increase.
